Ship trim materials | Assassin's Creed: Black Flag Resynced

This gallery is a small selection of some my favourite materials I created during the production of Black Flag Resynced. When I was embedded with the Ship Team. Some other tasks included: texel density pass, colour calibration pass, optimization, and bug fixing.
---
These trim materials were created to wrap around and give bevel details to the mesh. The trim layout was universal allowing the team to swap between material trims seamlessly.
To keep things relatively cheap, we also used mesh decals for destruction on the ships. This meant that all the destruction decals could be put on a singular texture for optimisation
---
Every material showcased in this gallery was made in Substance 3D Designer and Photoshop and rendered in Anvil

As always, this was a team effort, and I'm grateful to everyone involved in the creation process. Special thanks to the tagged artist for creating or authouring the materials.

We planned to use this across most of the furniture in Edwards cabin, but it also got used as the ship's trim.

Sample usage of the wood decor trim. The Smoldaw was also textured by me, but it was auto consolidation of the various hull textures into a tiny atlas. So not much to show there

The ship windows were made more readable for gameplay reason as we realised with the fake windows, they tend to blend into the fog and distance
